Dual Spark LLC ("Dual Spark", "we", "us") builds iOS apps, web apps, and this website (together, the "Services"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect as little as we can, we never sell your data, and we do not use third-party advertising trackers.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details. Some apps let you create an account. We collect the email address, name, and any sign-in credentials you provide (including Sign in with Apple, where you may choose to hide your email).
  • Content you create. Anything you enter or upload in an app, such as saved items, notes, or documents, is stored so the app can work for you.
  • Messages. If you email us for support, we keep the conversation so we can help you.
  • Newsletter. If you subscribe on our website, we store your email address and confirmation status.

Information collected automatically

  • Website analytics. Our website uses our own self-hosted analytics, not Google Analytics. We record pages viewed, referrer, and device type. Visitors are counted with an anonymous identifier derived from a one-way hash that rotates daily, so we cannot track you across days or sites. We do not set advertising cookies.
  • App diagnostics. If you opt in to share analytics with app developers in iOS settings, Apple may provide us with anonymous crash reports and usage statistics.

Purchases

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Apple shares only what we need to unlock your purchase, such as a transaction identifier and subscription status. Purchases on our web apps are processed by Stripe, which handles card details under its own privacy policy.

How we use information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Services.
  • To unlock purchases and manage subscriptions.
  • To respond to support requests.
  • To send emails you asked for, such as account emails or the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To keep the Services secure and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

Service providers

We share information only with providers that help us run the Services, and only as much as they need:

  • Apple for App Store purchases, Sign in with Apple, and push notifications.
  • Stripe for web payments.
  • Our hosting provider for storing app and website data on secured servers in the United States.
  • AI providers (such as Anthropic) when you use an AI-powered feature. The content you submit for that feature is sent to the provider to generate a response. It is not used to train their models under our agreement.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your information only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. You can delete your account from within any app that offers one, or email hello@dualspark.io and we will delete your data within 30 days, except where we must keep limited records for legal or accounting reasons.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and California privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To make a request, email us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Children's privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Some of our learning apps can be used by all ages without an account and without collecting personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to our servers. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.
